Each volume includes maps, graphs and tables, including a folding genealogical table in Clark, as well as a folding map in Taylor, 4 folding maps in Watson, and 2 folding maps in Woodward. Collated complete.The original series, that spanned from Roman Britain to the beginning of the First World War, was first completed in 1961. However, the series was later expanded to the end of the Second World War, leading to a further volume by Taylor and updated editions. Despite all writing the same series, each historian brought their own rigorous scholarship to their volumes. This included a debate on what constituted 'English History', whether to involve other nations in the United Kingdom or not.
