Very good. 38 x 26.5cm. A fascinating pictorial overview of China in the 1940s and 50s. The preparation for this work began in 1946 and for the following 8 years before the first edition was published in 1955. This second edition includes photographs not included in the first edition. The book is divided into 7 sections - the Southeast, the Southwest, the Northwest, North China, the Northeast, Mongolia and Tibet, and Taiwan, each with a map and introductory text in both Chinese and English.
