Original hardcover in jacket, SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Anne Davies, one of the members of the expedition. Map endpapers, 206 pages, appendices, several historical b + w photographs, map. Is signed and inscribed on the last illustrations toc page…- was a gift from the family to the recipient and there is a typed letter taped to the front endpaper from Davies' husband. Book is solid and square with some age-toning to pages throughout; some mild reading wear, bumping along edges of boards and top/bottom spine. Previous owner name inside front cover. May have some limited notation on pages but I could find none. Jacket has just a few small chips and tears along edges; some rubbing; there is soiling, age-toning to the rear jacket, flaps. Very good overall for age. gc6.
