He was a founding member of the M.A.Y.A. (Movement of Artists and Craftsmen of Chascomús). In 1988, together with Ricardo Chambers, he created the artisan magazine "La Silla Tibia". Edited poems: the trilogy of "The Useless Year": "Indignation of November", 1995; "May 1989 or the smoke", 1995; "Muse interventora", 1996; as well as "The moment of drown", 2000, and "BP Tangos", 2012. In 2008 the travel chronicle "The call of the tree" (Crossing to Peru in a quadricycle) was published, which Simón Esain wrote from manuscripts of his brother Rubén, under whose name it was published.
