Cloth. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. 1st British Edition. Hardback. The author's new work has many merits. it is very readable, and while by no means sacrificing high academic standards, simplifies the complex narrative so that the student can more easily follow the course of events. Full attention is paid to evidence from outside the Bibhle, and new discoveries are integrated into the text in a way which was not evident een in the revised edition of Bright's History. Above all, Hermann adopts the standpoint of the historian, observing the canons of modern historical criticidsm; his book makes an ideal introduction to Old Testament history for those coming to it with limited prior knowledge or those studying it in relation to other disciplines. 364 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.).…
