The author, Olivia Gwyneth Zoe FitzRoy (1921-1969) lived in Inverewe in the Western Highlands during WW2, while her husband fought in Burma. She penned a series of enchanting family tales which still have a resonance today and of which âOrders to Poachâ is the first and most elusive. This copy has a slight lean to the text block and mild bumping to the top and bottom of the spine, but is otherwise clean and free of inscriptions and (most unusually for a book from 1942) not printed on war-economy paper. A rare opportunity for Fitzroy fans. Please note that if ordering from abroad, any customs charge will be the responsibility of the buyer.
