Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fair. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing) of this most uncommon Shell Guide, the first new title issued in the series following Faber's take-over. Small 4to. 61pp. White boards with internal wire spiral binding. With a colour map and over sixty photographs including five contributed by John Betjeman. Cloth a little discoloured from handling and with some unsightly water-staining to base of upper and lower boards, also affecting the pastedowns, endpapers and a tiny portion of the base of the title page, although the remainder of the leaves are spared. This unfortunate staining aside, this is quite a crisp copy of one of the scarcest titles in the series.…

First Edition (first printing) of this most uncommon Shell Guide, the first new title issued in the series following Faber's take-over. Small 4to. 61pp. Cloth boards with internal wire spiral binding. With two colour maps and over sixty photographs including five contributed by John Betjeman. A touch of spotting to cloth and top edge and a tiny scuff to the head of the half-title (which serves as the free endpaper and also exhibits a little light spotting). A very good copy in the scare non-price-clipped dust wrapper, featuring a Nineteenth century engraving of the interior of Gloucester Cathedral, just a little tanned, spotted and chafed with several tiny slivers of loss. A super copy of one of the scarcest titles in the series.…
