Seiler give a thrilling first-hand account of serving in the Grumman "Wildcat" fighter squadron during the invasion of French North Africa in the Second World War. This invasion, known as 'Operation Torch', prompted the first large-scale airborne assault carried out by the United States. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is very smart except for the odd spot to the upper extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
