Añadir al carritoSoft cover. Condición: Very Good. 1st Edition. A charming postwar Christmas song published during the early years of America's holiday music boom. "The Christmas Tree Angel (Sweet Angie)" pairs lyrics by Jack Scholl with music by veteran songwriter M. K. Jerome, whose career included numerous popular standards and film songs from the 1930s through the 1950s. The festive red-and-white cover features a promotional portrait of the celebrated vocal trio The Andrews Sisters. The apparent autographs are printed facsimiles incorporated into the original cover design, not hand-signed copies, reflecting a common mid-century music publishing practice used to promote recording artists. This is the 1950 first edition, with the copyright dated 1950 on the music page. The publication includes piano/vocal score with guitar chord symbols and ukulele diagrams, illustrating the continued popularity of home music-making during the early postwar period. Condition: Very Good. Complete and original. Cover retains strong color with light rubbing, scattered handling wear, a short closed tear and light creasing along the upper edge, and mild corner wear. Interior music pages are clean and fully legible with no writing, stamps, or missing pages observed. Fold remains secure with only light wear at the spine. The rear cover serves as an unexpectedly fascinating snapshot of American popular culture in 1950, at the dawn of the Cold War. Alongside collections devoted to Bing Crosby, The Andrews Sisters, Lawrence Welk, Louis Jordan, Burl Ives, and Western music are advertisements for "Soviet Popular Songs" and "Ten New Songs the Soviets Sing." Rather than reflecting political endorsement, these publications illustrate the broad commercial appetite for international folk and popular music available through American publishers immediately after World War II - even as Cold War tensions were rapidly intensifying. As period advertising, the rear cover is almost as historically interesting as the Christmas song itself.…

Añadir al carritoSoft Cover. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Sheet Music is a generous 9" X 12" unsoiled. The copyright is dated 1933. 1st edition, The four sheets of music and words are all present.Light rub , wear, GOOD + CONDITION, AS-IS .Featured by Eddie Cantor .Alice appears to be a healthy young lady. maturing nicely and finely developed features. She is also wearing spiked heels, a rather unusual style of footwear for a preteen in 1933. Sufficiently attractive, ALICE has further emphasized her charms with the neat application of rouge and a bit of lipstick! Probably this drawing comports with the late Lewis Carroll's vision of the young ALICE in his mind's eye.The mushroom at her feet is about as phallic as it gets on sheet music and certainly the Mad Hatter and March Hare seem to be engaged in heated reparte. From the expression on the face of the Hatter, who seems to have been drinking something stronger than tea, one can only wonder abou.…
