Liberally illustrated in black and white throughout. Publisher's blue paper covers, titled in red and navy, and priced at 7d. Presented in a navy quarter morocco felt-lined clamshell bo…x, with raised bands and gilt titles to spine, and blue cloth over sides. Quite heavy wear to spine of number 315, with some loss to head and tail. Otherwise, fairly light wear with the expected toning to war economy-standard paper. Rare in the original covers. Very good. This collection contains all three parts of Jepson's Detective mystery, based on a prematurely retired Anglo-Indian police officer who decides to join a private detective agency on his return to London. Also containing 'The Battle of Richebourg-Festubert' and 'The Battle of Loos' from Doyle's series 'The British Campaign in France and Flanders,' as well as the war-time adventure 'The Man-Trap' by "Sapper," and Wodehouse's 'Jeeves and the Unbidden Guest' and 'Uneasy Money' chapters XI-XXI.
