Notable British Trials series. *French-Canadian solider August Sangret (1913-1943) was tried in the County Hall, Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey, in 1943, for the murder of Joan Pearl Wolfe. He was convicted and subsequently hanged.

This volume was the last in the original series, which ran from 1905 until 1959. A new series was launched in 1917.
