The construction of the Pine Flat Dam across the Kings River began in 1947 and was completed in 1954. Additionally, the leaflet promotes "outdoor fun" in the nearby Sierra Nevada and the verso is devoted to a large map of the Sierra north and west of Sanger, from Yosemite National Park south to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and "distances from Sanger, California," to various outdoor recreation areas, including "Sanger Lake (to be)."
