Gift inscription to front pastedown: "To Mr Cromarty. From A Pupil 27.10.37," ffep excised, endpapers toned, one plate loose, foxed. Good+ A robust copy of this attractive 1907 decorated cloth edition of Selected Poems of Christina Rossetti, featuring Pre-Raphaelite-esque illustrations by May Sandheim and an introduction by Alexander Smellie, the author and Stranraer minister; and including a 1937 gift inscription to Mr Cromarty from "A Pupil": a choice, if unusual and generous gift for a teacher.
