Edited by Samuel Orchart Beeton, an English publisher, best known as the husband of Mrs Beeton (Isabella Mary Mayson) and publisher of Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management. He founded and published the Boy's Own Magazine considered by many as the first and most influential of boys' magazines. Dated from the National Library of Wales. Bound in half brown calf with cloth boards. Externally, smart with rubbing and light wear to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and marks to the boards.
