Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. Folio [20p] 483p, 18pp index, Bound in early full vellum title inked in the spine. Nice copy, fresh and crisp paper. Beautiful imprint of Guillermo Morel the famous Parisian printer his classic works are always sought after for the quality of his impression in addition to his qualities as a comme…ntator and editor. Saint Cyprian (Latin: Thaschus Cæcilius Cyprianus; c. 200 September 14, 258 AD)[ was bishop of Carthage and a notable Early Christian writer of Berber descent, many of whose Latin works are extant. He was born around the beginning of the 3rd century in North Africa, perhaps at Carthage, where he received a classical education. Soon after converting to Christianity, he became a bishop in 249. A controversial figure during his lifetime, his strong pastoral skills, firm conduct during the Novatianist heresy and outbreak of the plague, and eventual martyrdom at Carthage vindicated his reputation and proved his sanctity in the eyes of the Church. His skillful Latin rhetoric led to his being considered the pre-eminent Latin writer of Western Christianity until Jerome and Augustine. The Plague of Cyprian is named after him, owing to his description of it. Catalogue des livres rares et précieux, manuscrits et imprimés de la De Bure Théologie N102, Annales typographici . Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book chronicles the rise of the Christian Church after its humble beginnings, examining the writings of philosopher, theologian, and martyr St. Cyprian who would become Bishop of Carthage. More than simply a biography, this volume grants access to an array of writings from a man w…ho left a lasting imprint on the Christian belief system. With its emphasis on unity among believers and divine grace, Cyprian's doctrine deeply influenced the Church's understanding of its sacraments, its mission, and its connection with God. His writings provide a glimpse into how Christianity developed as a cohesive and organized religion during a tumultuous epoch. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
