The covers also have a little edge rubbing with a little discolouration around the edges and a little chipping to the spine and a two inch crease to the top le…ft corner of the back cover. The pages are browned around the edges with a little spotting at the front and back and to the edges and there is a two inch crease to the top corner of the final five pages but they are otherwise unmarked. Contains 'The Dead Don't Forget' by Sabastian, 'The Million-Dollar Bill' by Shaftel, 'Friday at Five' by Crawford, 'While My Lady Slept' by Stacey, 'A Girl Named Carol' by Bogart and 'Death in Ten Lessons' by Wells. There is a small illlustration at the beginning of the first story. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.

The spine has surface chipping with about half of it gone but the binding is secure. There is some light discolouration to the rear cover which has some chipping along the left…edge and the bottom left corner. The chipping to the bottom corners affects the final two thirds of the pages. Pages browned around the edges with rusty marks around the staples but otherwise unmarked. Contains 'Her Name was Murder' by Torrey, 'Pick up the Web' by Harsh, 'Murder by Appointment' by Dunn, 'Murder Rode Aft' by Storm, 'The Message' by Sabastian, and 'Where Does Villon Sleep Tonight?' by Gurnee. The third of three novels by Sabastian (probably a pseudonym), about whom we have discovered little besides the authorship of a handful of stories written for various crime pulps. A novel set in New York about a pair of poor sisters, raised with the determination to conquer society. Trained to marry millionaires, they eventually buy their way into society, though the added drama of falling in love with a man without means or social standing enters into the equation. Uncommon in or out of jacket. *OCLC* locates just two copies.
