La ricerca si è posta l'obiettivo di pervenire alla costruzione di un modello interpretativo (Associazioni di volontariato-Centri di Servizio-Fondazioni ex bancarie- Comitati di Gestione - stakeholder territoriali) che tenesse conto delle problematiche e dei diversi interessi delle parti in gioco, elaborato anche in base alle risultanze dell'analisi sul campo, a cui viene dato un ruolo rilevante nella ricerca.La ricerca dedica inoltre una riflessione al tema della ripartizione dei fondi disponibili, mettendo a punto un algoritmo applicabile fino al dettaglio provinciale che tiene conto in qualche misura anche dell'economia sommersa.
