Sunday B Morning war ein Drucker mit dem Warhol ursprünglich zusammenarbeiten wollte. Als sie sich überworfen hatten, druckte dieser illegal weiter, er hatte von Warhol Werkzeug und Material zum drucken bekommen. Versuche das illegale drucken zu unterbinden scheiterten. Da Warhol zu dieser Zeit seine Drucktechniken noch perfektionierte, ist es schwierig, einen dieser Drucke ohne irgendeine Art von Zustandsproblem zu finden. Ein einziger Druck von Andy Warhol, Marilyn Edition, kann selbst in schlechtem Zustand weit über hunderttausend Dollar einbringen. Waren die Factory Editions aus den 60ger Jahren technisch selten perfekt, sind die neuen Drucke im Detail anspruchsvoller. Hier also eine Original Grafik von Sunday B Morning als Werbeträger gedruckt. Grösse von 15,3 x 15,3 cm. Ich konnte kein vergleichbares Blatt nachweisen. Total selten. Sehr gut erhalten.…

Born on November 25, 1905, Raymond Gid became first known through his posters, after having studied at les Beaux-Arts. As a film enthusiast, he designed many movie posters, for example Vampyr de Dreyer (photomontage, 1932), Le Silence de la mer by Melville (1949), Les Diaboliques by Clouzot (1955). But a meeting with Guy Levis Mano (editions GLM), editor and typographer, soon directed Gid towards the book. In 1935, he publishes, together with the photographer Pierre Jahan Devot Christ de Perpignan and Chats, Chiens by Ylla. It is an intensive period of his life period: he meets Dufy, Corbusier, Hake, Lurcat and receives the gold medal for a poster at the International exhibition of Paris (1937). He reacts to the Civil War in Spain with a poster " Help to the civil populations ". Together With Father Carre, « bete-a-bon-Dieu » of the Resistance, Raymond Gid began to design liturgical texts. Apocalypse Six (an extract of the biblical text of Saint John) appeard after the war. It is one of his major works, composed in the Peignot typeface, which was designed by Cassandre in 1937. He designs several post-war period posters, for example Week of absent, a simple Lorraine cross surrounded by barbed wire on a dark background. Right from the beginning of the symposiums in Lure (Provence) in 1954, Raymond Gid participates in discussions on typography, particularly with Maximilen Vox, Charles Peignot, Roger Excoffon. Né en 1945, en Italie, Milo Manara est un auteur de bandes dessinées reconnu. Ses premières planches professionnelles, des récits érotiques, datent de 1968 puis il publie Genius, pour les Éditions Vanio. En 1976, Le Singe, son premier récit ambitieux, paraît dans Alter-Linus puis dans Charlie Mensuel. En 1983, sa carrière prend une nouvelle direction avec Le Déclic qui fait instantanément de lui un des maîtres de la bande dessinée érotique. En 1987, Hugo Pratt devient son scénariste pour "Un été indien", expérience qu'ils rééditeront sept ans plus tard avec "El Gaucho". Aujourd'hui, Milo Manara continue une production régulière d'histoires érotiques aux éditions Casterman, mais il participe également à des projets plus originaux comme l'illustration de portfolios divers ou comme un nouveau projet avec le scénariste Alexandro Jodorowsky.
