Three vintage studio still photographs from the US release of the 1960 East German-Polish film. Based on Stanis aw Lem's 1951 novel "The Astronauts," about a team of astronauts who discover the remains of a long-dead civilization on Venus. Released in the US-with much of the film's socialist messaging removed-as a double feature… with the 1958 Japanese monster film "Varan the Unbelievable." Shot on location in Zakopane and Wroc aw, Poland. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good to Very Good plus, two with bruises on the bottom margins, and one with a tide mark on the bottom right corner.
