Rupp. Herman Montague Rucker Rupp was an Australian clergyman, and renowned botanist who specialised in orchids, writing extensively on the plant and sending some five thousand specimens to the University of Melbourne's botany school. Indeed, later in life he was even nicknamed the "Orchid Man". This work was "Issued from the National herbarium, Sydney, as a part of the FLORA OF NEW SOUTH WALES" Complete with the original unclipped dustwrapper in an excellent condition. It is unusual to find this dustwrapper so well preserved. In the publisher's original cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper, Externally, lovely with only the odd mark to boards and slight bumping to lower fore edge of boards. Dustwrapper excellent, with minor shelfwear and sunning. Small closed tear to head of rear joint of wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned but very bright and clean throughout.
