Signée en bas à droite Victor Rubert (1895-1979), affichiste et illustrateur sélestadien, très actif localement. Ancien élève des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg. Il fut aussi peintre-verrier. (Voir Lotz 611).  Un pompier en tenue, sonne le clairon, à l'arrière plan la ville en proie aux flammes. Une très belle affiche sur le thème des pompiers éditée à l'occasion du 8e congrès des pompiers d'Alsace-Lorraine organisée à Sélestat. .
