Dated January 1952, this compiles and revises content that first appeared in Parts I and II of the Handbooks for American Employees in January 1950 (the remaining Parts III-V were reissued in a single companion volume entitled The Arabia of Ibn Saud). Part I (Aramco and World Oil) describes the modern oil industry, entrance into Saudi Arabia, early exploration, pre-war expansion, wartime operations, and post-war expansion.
