This copy also bears the armorial bookplate of the inscribee on the front endpaper. Several pages of correspondence laid in related to Riverdale local history. Lightly worn copy with no significant flaws. Scarce and interesting book.

Staples's family emigrated from England to Canada when he was 4 years old. Staples studied under Horatio Walker, George Reid & Thomas Eakins. Glossy, black, pictorial boards with white type on spine & front. 163 pages with some colour plates, many B&W illustrations, B&W photos, bibliography, index & list of illustrations, collections & exhibitions. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall.
