The true story of Bill Robinson, a Texas lawman who fell from grace and became the leader of an outlaw gang. He fled Texas under a storm of litigation and arrest warrants and went to Caldwell, Kansas where he went by Ben Wheeler and became a city marshal. Along with another outlaw turned lawman, Henry Brown, Ben Wheeler cleaned up the rough town and earned the gratitude of the citizens. Until he and Brown decided to rob a bank in a nearby town. The robbery failed and both were killed by a mob. Book is unread and Fine. Dust jacket is very bright with no fading and only very minor wear. Dust jacket now protected in Mylar.
