Sears, Captain of Battery and 1st assistant to the regiment, Vermont Volunteers. Note also mentions he was near Washington DC, June 21st, 1865.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.

Roberts, stationed at Fort Monroe, became its Commander when Civil War broke out. Its chapters are written in question-and-answer format. The book was "Possibly printed before the secession of Virginia" [Parrish]. This is one of two 1861 Richmond imprints, each of them scarce.
