Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: Very Good. photos, 80p. Softcover in original wrappers. 19 cm. Contents sound and clean. SIGNED on the title page as Daisy Andeson Sept 15, 71 Signed at top of title page Betty G Foster. Daisy married Robert Anderson in 1922 when she was about 22 and he was 79. Anderson's narrative was first published in 1927 in Hemingsford, Nebraska. Daisy added a second part (pages 61-80) to her husband's book in 1967 which part she titled "Have You No Shame" about her later life and white racism and unkindness toward her and others. She apparently further expanded the book by adding another section, probably 10 pages in length, to some later printings or editions which we have not seen. That final section appears to have been titled "Into every life some rain must fall." All editions or printings are uncommon. Anderson was born into slavery in Kentucky. He joined the Union Army in 1864. After the end of the Civil War, he spent a few years in Tabor, Iowa, before going to Nebraska to homestead in 1870 and eventually ending up somewhere near Hemingford, a small town in Box Butte County. He died in an automobile accident in 1930. Daisy, his widow, moved to Colorado sometime in the 1930s. We don't know who Betty G. Foster is -- perhaps the former owner. Signed.…
