The spine has a little chipping to the surface with small pieces missing at the top and bottom and one inch closed tears on either side at the top and a smaller tear at the bottom. The covers are detached from the text block. The pages are browned around the edges with spotting to the first and last pages and to the edges but are otherwise unmarked. The pastedowns & endpapers are stained & foxed & there is light foxing to the fore-edge & bottom edges with occasional foxing or soiling elsewhere in the book. The plates are clean & bright. Good.
