An den Naturforscher Ernst von Bibra (1806-1878) in Nürnberg: "Um Entschuldigung muß ich bitten, ob meines verspäteten Dankes für den schönen Atakamit [Meteor-Eisen aus Bolivien], den Sie die Güte hatten mir, für die geringen geleisteten Dienste, wobei mir das große Vergnügen zu Theil wurde, einige Stunden in Ihrer Nähe zubringen zu können, ein Vergnügen, durch welches ich mehr denn zur Genüge belohnt wurde, zu übersenden. Die Stufe, die schon viele Liebhaber gefunden hätte, ziert meine Sammlung und ist mir doppelt werth wegen seines lieben Gebers [.]" Beklagt Überlastung "wenn man den ganzen Tag im Berufe arbeitet und schreibt" und hofft auf weitere Publikationen Bibras, namentlich sehe ich mit so vielen Ändern mit Spannung den Beobachtungen entgegen, die Sie auf Ihrer Reise nach dem südl.
