Signed by Steve Richmond in purple ink at lower front cover. Mild handling along lower front wrapper, else very Near Fine.Attractive copy of this tabloid-style broadside, repri…nting Bukowski's poems "Freedom" and "True Story," which first appeared in the pages of Olé, together with contributions by Richmond and John Buckner. The front wrapper's message proved to be somewhat inflammatory, resulting in police raiding Richmond's Santa Monica store shortly after publication, arresting him on obscenity charges, and seizing his stock, which included a number of Bukowski's books. Condición: Near Fine. First Edition. Complete run of the journal in four issues with an anthology published as the Winter 1967-1968 issue of The Human Voice, Vol. III No. 4. [vi], 100; "83" [but irregularly paginated]; [ii], 112; 72; [vi], 44 pp. Stapled wraps in various sizes. Near Fine overall with light wear. Closed tear to b…ottom of front wrap of Vol. 2. Reading crease to front wrap of Vol. 3. Vol. 4 spine a bit sunned. Anthology issue spine a bit chipped, wraps lightly soiled. The entirety of the little poetry magazine Entrails, edited by Gene Bloom until his imprisonment before the release of the fourth issue. The vibe of the publication was scatological, much in the vein of Ed Sanders' Fuck You. The first issue stated on its first page: "We are a NON-CENSORSHIP MAGAZINE." Issue #2 includes a tiny envelope stamped "Beat Nickel Bag" with something in it that shakes when rattled; it has not been opened, though. The following issue has a similar bag stapled to the back wrap, empty. Contributors included many of the most prominent Meat Poets: Charles Bukowski (in three issues), Douglas Blazek, D.r. Wagner, William Wantling, Harold Norse, The Willie, and Steve Richmond as well as d.a. levy, Tuli Kupferberg, Ted Berrigan, Clarence Major, and Lyn Lifshin. Uncommon as a complete run.

Condición: Near Fine. First Edition. Vol. 1 Issue 1. Limited edition. Signed on verso of front cover in sharpie by Charles Bukowski, Neeli Cherkovski (twice, once as alias "Fred Dyer"), Harold Norse, and what must have been a very drunk Steve Richmond. Small illustration that appears to be a combined effort of Cherkovski and Buk…owski. Numbered 9 in upper corner; this appears to be one of a very few numbered copies perhaps signed at a collating party at Bukowski's house. 32 pp. Yellow stapled wraps. Near Fine with oxidization to staples and faint foxing to edges. Quite rare signed. This short-lived literary magazine was essentially Charles Bukowski's manifesto of the "Meat Poets"-- a mimeo'd journal of poetry with his brief editorial screed on the front cover attacking the bigwigs of the Black Mountain school. Fellow contributors include John Thomas, William Wantling, T.L. Kryss, Gerda Penfold, Douglas Blazek, and a few other kindred spirits. A high spot of '60s rebel poetry.
