Text block age toned, holding well. Front pastedown reveals that the volume once belonged to and 'must be returned to the Rectory at Bolton Abbey' and is signed 'A P Howes' - Alfred Plumpton Howes; frontispiece illustration of a 'View of Otley'; a lovely letter sent by Rev Wm Abrahams of St Mark's Vicarage, Manningham Bradford is laid in which contains a handwritten poem which begins 'Deep amid the Bolton Woods'. 91pp. A culturally important artefact of the history of Wharfedale in West Yorkshire encompassing the region's natural beauty, local towns, villages, rivers, hills, forests, folklore and rural agriculture.
