To which is added, his Remains", viii 9-144pp, contemporary sheep (very worn, minor loss to spine ends, corners heavily bumped with boards showing), ESTC calls for a red and black title but this copy has a normal black letterpress title,… front edge of title creased and torn, stitching part broken at A4, contents well used, minor worm damage at the foot of the first few pages, 12mo (176x101mm), according to ESTC (quoting Foxon p610) this is probably a piracy and the date may be false, apparently, ESTC N20756 (locating 2 copies in Britain and 4 elsewhere).

Measures 2 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 1". Scuffing and wear to binding but reasonably clean. Rubbing at edges and on hinges and chipping to paper. Bumped and torn corners. Binding reasonably firm. Page edges contain some scuffing and marking, and a degree of fading to marbling pattern. Inscription to free endpaper prior to Goldsmith work and signature to endpaper prior to Johnson. Some page corners dog-eared. Top edge of page 65 of Hamond and Hervey has had the top piece cut off. Some foxing, staining and other marking throughout, with a little ink blotching to initial front endpapers of book, but no underlining, marginalia, etc. 70, 65, 110, 64, 94 pp. 1806-8.
