Da un dipinto di Guido Reni e con l'incisione di Gio. Batta Cecchi, che la incise nel 1779 (in lastra, sulla destra sotto l'inciso) scena con grandi figure, morbida nella figurazione e nel tratteggio. Usuali imperfezioni marginali della carta (uno strappo rimarginato in corrispondenza della brachetta centrale al margine inferiore), peraltro a pieni margini e in buono stato di conservazione. Il duello di Tancredi e Clorinda (Gerusalemme Liberata, XII, 48 - 70). Clorinda e Argante hanno tentato con successo una sortita notturna nella quale hanno incendiato e distrutto la possente torre d'assedio dei crociati, servendosi di unguenti infiammabili preparati dal mago Ismeno: si apprestano a rientrare a Gerusalemme da una delle porte, incalzati dai soldati nemici, quando Clorinda si attarda a scontrarsi con un cristiano che l'ha colpita e rimane chiusa fuori. Mentre la guerriera si accinge a raggiungere un'altra porta approfittando dell'oscurità, è raggiunta da Tancredi che non la riconosce (la donna indossa un'armatura nera, diversa da quella consueta) e inizia un duello furibondo con lei, senza sapere che sta lottando contro la donna che ama. Il duello sarà senza esclusione di colpi e Clorinda avrà la peggio, anche se in punto di morte la guerriera chiederà di essere battezzata dal proprio uccisore e si salverà l'anima. .
