He then worked for DIM (Décoration Intérieure Mobilier) and in 1929 joined the workshop of Jean Domin. With a solid knowledge of materials, acquired during his years of apprenticeship, he had the ability to furnish and create complete interiors. Drouet was a true enthusiast of the Art Deco style, carrying it forward, albeit with a French style of the 1940s, into the post-war period. Among his achievements is an apartment on the top floor of a private mansion in the Parc Monceau for Charles Boyer and Pat Paterson.Literature."René Drouet," Mobilier et Décoration, Paris, April 1939."A l'exposition de New York, le pavillon de la France," Mobilier et Décoration, Paris, August 1939."Trois siècles d'art dans un appartement parisien," Plaisir de France, Paris, July 1939, .P.
