For each letter of the alphabet, White presents a short profile of a notable Christian figure (from church history or more recent times) and highlights a key lesson or emphasis from that person?s prayer life.This first edition is bound in two toned black cloth, (also on the spine) and a light clay blue paper with a logo of the publisher on the cover at the foot. Dust jacket is illustrated with hands positioned for prayer in white with white and dark orange lettering against a clay blue background. PROVENANCE: This book is from the library of Calvin Thielman, pastor for over thirty years to Billy Graham and his family. Both his handwritten name and date of 1958 and his personal library stamp are present on the front flyleaf. CONDITION: Book is VG with moderate external wear and discoloration sections and a couple of pen marks. Light discoloration within endpapers. Unmarked except for previous owner markings as described. Leaves have lightly toned. Dust jacket is good with fading, discoloration and wear, particularly along the extremities. Even still, this is a solid, special reading copy.
