Folded sheet of stationery tipped in at the front, on which is written, "To Miss Grace K. Raymond with best wishes of her friend Vinnie Ream Hoxie." The newspaper clipping has, unfortunately, faded part of the signed page. (please email for photos). Also included is a 8 page printed address given by Vinnie Ream at the International Council of Women in June 1909. Vinnie Ream is best remembered as the sculptor of a bust of Abraham Lincoln, done from life while she was in her late teens and early twenties. Several of her works are on display in the US Capitol and Smithsonian. She was the first woman to receive a commission for a sculpture from the US Government. She died in 1914.
