The subject of the book is a look at suburban America and its sexual preoccupations. It does this in a witty, well written, way. It is also, at times, almost a serious social report. It is revealing of attitudes of the time, and we are talking about the cusp of the 50s and 60s, so things were different then. Read on, especially if you found the Kinsey Report a bit clinical. A classic mystery, with long corridors, full moon monsters and the cracking of whips. Goodchild enjoyed great success with his Jack O' Lantern books, but this is brilliant. Okay, it is a pulp fiction, printed on rather thick paper, but despite showing its age a bit it is without owner names or library abuses. The protected jacket has some minor creases and chips but it is now safely covered in mylar.
