The certificate features elaborate engraved calligraphy with the title "Franklina Societas Literaria Collegii Jeffersoniensis" surrounding a finely detailed central vignette depicting a classical garden scene with students gathered near architectural ruins and a temple-like structure in the distance. The document was engraved by J. Warr of Philadelphia, a known engraver of academic diplomas and certificates during the early nineteenth century. Document measures ~11 in. x 13.5 in. In Very Good condition with mild age toning and mild creasing throughout. Fold to lower right corner. Original ribbon intact; original paper seal intact (with a few folds).
