Volume I of the present set is a quarto size book measuring 9-7/8" x 12-1/2", xvii + 221pp with colour reproduction frontispiece. Volume II consists of a folding document box similarly covered in tan cloth-covered boards with dark brown backing and a brown tie ribbon, holding 30 folding plates, including 1 in colour. Original half brown cloth over gilt decorated light tan linen of text volume, clamshell box with same binding and string ties, containing a light brown pamphlet with black and red lettering on cover and thirty leporellos, housed in brown cloth slipcase with black lettering on paper plate of cover. Text volume with color lithograph frontispiece, title page printed in red and black with publisher's device. The text volume is illustrated with numerous line drawings. Volume two is a clamshell box in same binding as text volume, containing a pamphlet listing all thirty, beautiful leporellos with lithographic reproductions of papyri loosely placed into clamshell box. Third of the Bollingen series of publications on Egyptian religion including the complete photographic recording of royal tombs, important mythological papyri, and miscellaneous cosmological texts and symbolic representations, devoted to a selection of important mythological papyri from: the Cairo Museum, the Louvre, the Bibliothèque Nationale, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the Archaeological Museum in Florence, the Turin Museum and the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
