Hardcover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. Reprint. One of a series of delightful children's stories first published in the Evening News of Newark, NJ, that introduced the world to Uncle Wiggily Longears & friends, about whom Garis would eventually pen 79 tales. This marked their first appearance in book form from 1913; this is a 1939 reprint, in 188 pages with full-color frontispiece & DJ design by Elmer Rache. Small octavo (5.75" x 8.00") has bright teal cloth-covered boards stamped with a rabbit & lettering in darker teal to front & spine. From a well-preserved, single-owner collection, condition is stunning: the book is Fine in a Near Fine DJ! Exceptionally clean & bright, pages creamy white & unmarked, binding strong & straight, both hinges intact. The unclipped DJ (with $.60 price intact to front flap) is stunning (we at first thought it was a reprint it is so nice!). Flawless save for very mild creasing/slight rubbing to extremities. Else, bright & colorful & clean & protected in clear mylar cover to stay that way! Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day. Rache, Elmer (ilustrador).…
