Plates of course, b&w reproductions on glazed inserted stock, a few in color, nice paperstock throughout the text, faintest edgewe…ar to casings, no soil whatsoever, no markings of any sort, perfectly sound, the closest we see to a flaw is a very faint fade to spine panels (of volumes exposed to sun where facing out of box). The box itself does have slight damage: outer seams of both bottom and top margins are split, so exposing layered papers that had held components super-securely; box still holds its contents secure but is no longer aesthetically perfect. Otherwise, this is an excellent set of what appears to be the most substantial of "Focal Encyclopedia's" publications.
