Preface by Austin Dobson, with a dedicated page to Austin Dobson with the printed inscription as follows "as a slight acknowledgement of many kindnesses these illustrations are cordially inscribed" by Hugh Thomson. I'm actually not sure if this inscription is a pen and ink signature or a facsimile signature. However is a nice appreciation from the illustrator.
