A gloss b & w photographic postcard of Byrd's expedition ship, captioned to front and with additional caption on verso "Chicago World's Fair 1933", postally unused, slightly soiled to both sides, light age toning to verso. This postcard was issued for the 1933 World's Fair, during which Byrd's Antarctic expedition ship was on view. Manned by a crew that included four expedition members, the ship housed a museum of Antarctic relics and objects.

Bear of Oakland during Byrd's second Antarctic expedition, and signed by its captain, English. The image, in common with other cards from this series, derived from Byrd's first Antarctic expedition (1928-30). Signed by Author(s).
