One year later, he published the first edition of the Price List, which later became well-known as the Franklin Printing Catalog. Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book examines the history of a country newspaper and its printer in the early 20th century, a time when many small publications struggled to maintain financial viability in the face of larger, more established operations. Through the narrative of the printer, who joins forces with the paper's owner to save the business, the author provides an in-depth look at the challenges and triumphs of running a small-town newspaper. The author traces the printer's efforts to modernize the paper's operations, including implementing a bookkeeping system, streamlining advertising sales, and making changes to the physical plant. Along the way, the author explores the broader themes of community and the importance of local journalism, particularly in rural areas. Smith: AMERICAN FICTION 1901-1925, cites an earlier book: "The Printers of Chiapolis" published under the same imprint in [c.1922]; presumably a similar work.…
