The folding maps and plans are titled: 1. "Plan of Proposed Railway Routes to accompany Mr Rochfort's report to 'Trunk Line Committee' Nelson". This map measures approximately 22"by 16". It has two very large tears of 12" and 10". 2. "Sketch Map shewing proposed Railway routes northwards from Canterbury via East Coast, Tarndale and Maruia". This map is approximately 17" by 16". It shows the proposed routes in colour. It has a 5" tear and a 3" tear. 3. "Map of the Alternative Railway Routes between Christchurch & Cook Strait". This map is coloured. It measures approximately 17 1/2' by 14 1/2". It has a couple of 3" tears. The 2 folding plans are both titled: "Section of proposed Railway routes South to accompany the Rochfort's report to Trunk line Committee, Nelson". ; Folio 13" - 23" tall.
