Bound in publisher's original green paper over boards, sunned and toned especially spine. Internally, unopened top edges. Six double-page black-and-white engravings, a single color plate, 21 full-page black- and-white plates in text. All with their original tissue guards. The author, Adolphe Berty (1818-1867) was assisted by Lazare Maurice Tisserand and M.
