Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. 3rd Edition. BERMUDA'S OLDEST INHABITANTS OR TALES OF PLANT LIFE BY L. HUTCHINGS SMITH 1950. On offer here a nice copy albeit in a battered dust jacket of: "Bermuda's Oldest InhabitantsTales of Plant Life" by Louisa Hutchings Smith with nine coloured illustrations by May Middleton. This small-sized and relatively thin hard cover book (71/2 x 10 inches 80 pages) was published by J. Salmon Ltd. of Sevenoaks England dated 1950 and the Third Edition (so stated). Each of the nine illustrations has a captioned tissue-guard protecting it. The covers are bound in a light green cloth with gilt titles and decorations on the front. Condition: This book is in very good condition. I cannot say the same for the dust jacket which has a big chunk missing from the front cover and small chips on the rear. The hard covers are a bit dust-dulled and the gilt titles slightly tarnished. There is a tiny white blemish on the front cover. Inside the book is unmarked but there is some incipient foxing on both the front and rear endpapers and on one or two of the tissue-guards which seem to be hydroscopic. Happily, the foxing does not really get into the book or affect the text or plate pages. The interior pages and plates are clean and bright and very handsome. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
