Original brown cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine and front cover. 7.75ins x 4.5ins, xiv, 404pp, xi (list of subscribers), 32pp advertisements plus folding coloured map, frontis and 10pp plates (2 folding). Also 10 woodcut illustrations within the text. The spine has been professionally relaid… retaining 98% of the original cloth and new endpapers fitted. There is a small ink stain to the top of a few pages and some plates are a bit browned. Overall though a VG copy of a scarce title.
