Includes six b/w plates including frontispiece which retains a lightly toned tissue guard plus other b/w illustrations or "decorations" amongst text many of which are chapter headpieces.

Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; tanning to page-ends (upper edges gilt) but text and illustrations bright and clear throughout.
