With the stamp of still photographer Peter Basch on the verso, along with manuscript pencil annotations identifying Ford and Machado. Loo…sely based on the 1956 novel by Harold Sinclair, which in turn was based on the historic Civil War battle of Newton's Station and Grierson's Raid. A Union cavalry brigade's mission behind Confederate lines is complicated when they are forced to take a woman prisoner after she overhears their plans. Set in the American South, shot on location in Louisiana and Mississippi. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.
