Other contributions to this issue include Chapter III of the serialization of Juliana Horatia Ewing's "Mystery of the Bloody Hand"; Charles Chesney's "The Last Campaign in America"; a profile of Empress Catharine by W.H. Bidwell, etc. With the exception of Bidwell's article, all the submissions, which were borrowed directly from British and Continental journals of the period, were printed anonymously, presumably to avoid copyright issues.
